1.) Go to Google’s Gmail.com here: http://googlegmail.com set up an email address. (You can use another or existing email service, but Gmail will allow you up to 25 separate FREE email accounts when you start to expand)
2.) Next go to http://blogger.com/ this is a FREE Service also, and you will need a URL to apply to most the affiliate programs below. Hint: be creative with the name, you’ll want a name people, and search engines will remember and enable you to rank higher later bringing more traffic to your site. *Again, you can use an existing blog, or website, but Google allows several blogs under one email address.
3.) After designing a basic blog, try to imagine how you want to advertise, what you want to advertise, and create the blog/site around that concept. Experiment with things you like… music, porn, whatever.
4.) Bookmark this page or add it to your favorites bar http://xxxratedsite2.blogspot.com/ as I am preparing a HUGE FREE LISTING of Affiliate Programs. Join them all, or only the ones you might be interested in promoting! But give your visitor’s some variety, and be sure if you’re planning on doing anything concerning Adult nature… You take legal precautions to protect both children, and yourself. (You definitely don’t want to be selling Kiddie Porn!!!!)
5.) Once you have signed up for some or all of the programs listed below, get familiar with the ‘user control panel’ on each program. The CP is generally your control station where you’ll access your banner ads, text links, and tracking tools to find out whose hitting your ads. *Again be creative in your ad placements.
6.) Go to http://statcounter.com/ this is a FREE page counter that will monitor your traffic, and is much more than a number counter. In fact, this will give you statistics on where your visitors came from, what links they clicked, how long they stayed, etc… get to know this tool it is a major role in understanding how your site is viewed by others. *Note: the bad news is this is FREE until you reach 500 visitors then you must upgrade to increase you log count. I think it’s like $7.50 per month. But, you can find other services for free by Googling “page counters”
7.) This is optional, but highly recommended… Start visiting Affiliate Marketing Forums, a couple that have helped me out greatly are http://5starforums.com/ and http://wickedfire.com/ although I will warn you… Tread cautiously at Wicked-Fire they are a “Tough Love” kinda group, and are not for the squeamish! Also there are literally hundreds of forums discussing everything you can imagine concerning affiliate marketing.
8.) Do yourself a favor, and try to use the same Username and Passwords for all your marketing accounts, email, blogs etc… this will make it easy for you to get in and out quicker when posting content and ads.
